Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Reservations highly recommended since itβs a small spot. Every dish was honestly great, so excited to go back to try their other stuff, but the beef longganisa and ube ko achar I would def order again in a heartbeat. The sauce for the gnocchi and the skewer were 10/10. Also, their Green Leaf drink with pandan - SO GOOD. My favorite desserts are literally silvanas and cheese ice cream, so itβs def their own version of these classic Filipino desserts, but satisfied with how they interpreted them. Canβt wait to come back!

We loved Ramro. The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed everything we ordered. They were kind enough to sit us early for our reservation. The service was also impressive - we counted only 3 people working, but the dishes were spaced decently, and our waiter (who was also cooking and bartending) made time to give us thoughtful drink/food recommendations. The space is tiny, so reservations seem important.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Ramro. The intimate ambiance made it perfect for date night. We came for the 6-course tasting menu on a Saturday and were glad we made reservations in advance since seating is limited. Each course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites were the appetizers, the crudo, and the saag pasta β all bursting with flavor. The duck was seared and cooked to perfection, and the Queenβs Crown cocktail was absolutely divine! The chef and service were top-notch, making the entire experience feel warm and thoughtfully curated. Highly recommend this gem in Astoria β donβt miss out on this unforgettable dining experience!

We were excited to try this local gem. The staff were kind and helpful in explaining the menu. We ordered the momos, walnut cauliflower, kaldereta (lamb), sinaing (skate wing), ube ko achar, and for dessert, the silvanas and cheddar ice cream. Overall, the flavors were just okay and didnβt quite live up to the hype or reflect a strong signature style. That said, a few items stood out, particularly the ube ko achar and the desserts. The ube ko achar was a unique dish; you donβt often come across ube gnocchi, and it offered something different. The silvanas were nicely balanced and not overly sweet. The cheddar ice cream absolutely blew us away - the combination of cheddar and parmesan with the sweetness of the ice cream and a touch of olive oil was surprisingly well-balanced and memorable. I'd come back for the ice cream alone. Still, as a whole experience, it didnβt quite win us over. It was worth trying once.
